I have been involved with several startups as vice president of engineering, chief technology officer, and president. I have also held an IT leadership position with one of the largest, most complex IT environments in Pittsburgh. I love helping people take their great idea, and make it even better. I love creating new things, and seeing things grow and thrive where there was nothing before. Extensive experience in writing business plans, pro-formas, financial planning, cash flow analysis, and setting up the foundational elements for either a new business, or a new segment within a business.
With a formal eduation in electrical engineering, over 25 industry technical certifications, and 25+ years' experience in technology, I have helped a number of organizations as vice president of engineering, chief technology officer, and chief information officer. I have extensive hands on experience managing teams of communications engineers, network engineers, and software development engineers. I was honored to be recognized as a 2015 Pittsburgh CIO of the year finalist, and a 2016 Pittsburgh CIO of the year winner.
As a passionate entrepreneur, I have had the opportunity to have equity in three different companies over my career. I have served as Chief Operating Officer and President for two of those. In those capacities I have had the opportunity to manage not only technical aspects of several companies, but finance, HR, administration, governance, and business operations. Extensive experience in business analytics, financial ratio analysis, business metrics, performance planning and coaching.
